Setting – a street in Verona as the sycamore grove
Characters – Sampson, Gregory, ballazar, Abraham, benvolio, Tybalt, the prince, the princes men, montague, lady montague, capulet, lady capulet, Romeo
Events – a brawl between men of the capulet and montague family is added to by a fight between benvolio and Tybalt. The prince decrees that he will put anyone to death who fights again. Romeo is depressed because the woman who he loves doesn’t love him.
